MANAGEMENT TEAM

James M. Kennedy, President of VKR Corporation

As President of VKR Corporation, Jim Kennedy brings over 30 years of military and management experience. Retiring as a Colonel from the US Army, Jim Kennedy had an excellent military career that culminated in his position as Chief, Current Operations, G3 US Army North, and Fort Sam Houston, Texas. His career highlights include Chief, 5th Division Border Transition Team, Multi-National Corps Iraq Baghdad, Iraq; where he directed 11 teams (12 men each) of US Military and Coalition Advisors in combat. Jim directed development of command plans, training programs, command policies, personnel policies, maintenance programs, communications programs and intelligence programs for both US Army and Iraqi Security Forces. Jim commanded the 1st Battalion 143rd Field Artillery. Jim served as Chief, G3 Exercises, I (US) Corps, Fort Lewis, Washington where he planned and executed Army and Joint Chief of Staff (JCS) exercises for US I Corps. Jim holds a Masters of Business Administration from Averett University, in Danville, Virginia, and a Masters of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the United State Naval War College in Newport, Rhode Island. Jim also holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee.
