Team UXOD Automation, of which VKR Corporation is a member, has been named the grand prize winner of the Robotic Range Clearance Competition, sponsored by the Joint Ground Robotics Enterprise and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

YUDH ABHYAS: VKR Corporation of Livingston, Tennessee has been retained by the Camber Corporation, to provide exercise support to the Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, CA for the up coming U.S. Army Pacific Command Combined Exercise Yudh Abhyas. VKR Corporation will provide Subject Matter Experts in the areas of exercise development and United Nations Operations. VKR is tasked with linking the FTX portion of the exercise with the CPX.
MOVING LAND TARGETS: The United States Naval Air Command (NAVAIR) announced that Team Karios Autonomi was awarded the contract for the US Navy’s Moving Land Target program and that the US Navy is entering into final negotiations with Team Karios Autonomi. Team Karios Autonomi consists of the following companies; Karios Autonomi of Sandy, UT; SAIC of McLean VA; iRobot of Bedford, MA, Rajant Corporation of Malvern, PA; and VKR Corporation of Livingston, TN.
The Moving Land Target program uses robotic technology to transform wheeled and tracked vehicles to either an autonomous or tandem remote control mode vehicles. Targets are then engaged by Naval aircraft providing for a near combat like environment for naval aviators to train without endangering ground support personnel.
VKR Corporation of Livingston contribution to the project is to perform the modifications to the wheeled and tracked vehicles and installing the remote control systems and then delivering to various Naval ranges within the United States.
